NEW GICLE’E PRINT SERIES BY ROBERT McGREEVY Gicle’e (shee-clay) is the most advanced printing method in use today. It uses the latest computer technology to exactly duplicate an artist’s work. After scanning, the work is archived on a disc and can then be reproduced on watercolor stock or canvas. Marine artist Robert McGreevy has chosen this method to reproduce his latest series of historical Great Lakes paintings. Presently, there are three new series planned: “Lost Legends of the Lakes,” “Great Lakes Classics,” and “Aircraft of the Great Lakes.” “Great Lakes Classics” includes ships from the classic years of Great Lakes shipping 1900 to the present, both passenger and freight. “Aircraft of the Great Lakes” will cover all types of aircraft with Great Lakes connections, either by use or being built in the region.
